A Home Should Work As Beautifully As It Looks
Alcove Home began with a simple frustration. The pieces that genuinely solve a problem at home are almost always ugly, and the pieces that look beautiful almost never solve anything.
So we set out to find the small number of things that do both. Every item we stock has to earn its place twice: once by fixing something that quietly annoys you every single day, and once by looking like it belongs in a room you are proud of. That is a much shorter list than most home stores carry, and we are comfortable with that.
The result is a collection built room by room rather than trend by trend. A spice drawer that finally makes the back of the cabinet reachable. A shower shelf that holds real bottles without a single hole drilled into your tile. A laundry sorter that does the sorting for you. None of it is decorative for its own sake, and none of it is the kind of plastic afterthought you hide when guests come over.
How We Choose What We Sell
Three questions decide whether something makes it onto the site. Does it solve a real, recurring problem rather than an imagined one? Will it still look right in six months, once the novelty has worn off and it is simply part of the room? And is it built well enough that you will not be replacing it next year? Anything that fails one of those is left out, however well it might sell. We would rather carry a tight range we can stand behind than a catalogue of everything. If we get it wrong and something does not live up to that, we want to hear about it and we will make it right.
